A very nice and pertinent blog post from Russell Wilson about the place of usability and user interface design within a company and within software development process and about the future of these two.

One thing that really caught my attention was the mention of a possible comeback of CLI in the future of user interfaces. I am really not the person to say something about this that could be worth considering. I just found it interesting because I was thinking about mocking up command line user interfaces. Although they may be lot easier to implement than full blown graphical user interfaces, it’s definitely much more easier to mock them up and let a user try them long before a single line of code is written.

Is anyone aware of a tool that lets you mockup CLIs?
